CAURUS Technologies starts 2026 with two new additions to the engineering team

As the new year starts into its second week, CAURUS Technologies is happy to welcome two new members preparing various upcoming campaigns from spring onwards:

Michael Henkel joins CAURUS Technologies part-time as Software/Data Engineer and Senior Expert Firefighting. He combines 40 years of experience in fire protection with 30 years of expertise in industrial automation. He is a trained electrical engineer, possessing added skills in high-speed videography, programming, and professional server management. His long years of engagement with the local firefighters in his hometown Kronberg, Germany, offer a great benchmark against which the CAURUS Technologies engineering team can validate development ideas and steps. Thus, he provides practical input and consulting from a firefighter’s point of view, works on preparing the sensor platform containing the digital guidance system for testing and pre-series production, defines the software roadmap and requirements and supports documentation of the relevant development steps.

Ralf Heiko Hansen has joined CAURUS Technologies as Development Engineer, supporting the team in areas of product development, certification, testing and industrialization. Ralf holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Stellenbosch University and a Master’s Degree in Aerospace from the Technical University Munich. He joined CAURUS Technologies from Quantum Systems where he previously worked in production engineering of unmanned aerial systems.

Both now contribute to the ongoing development of CAURUS Technologies’ digital guidance system, further enhancing the functions of the sensor platform and the concomitant software.
