As a startup company developing a novel solution to make wildfire fighting more precise, efficient and safer, CAURUS Technologies has joined the Adaptation Exchange as one of 20 founding members. The Adaptation Exchange is a new cross-sector collaboration platform for corporate climate adaptation. The Adaptation Exchange will be officially launched at Climate Week Zurich on 6 May.

The initiative has been in development since autumn 2025, when the idea first emerged from conversations at the Handelsblatt Corporate Climate Adaptation Conference. The founding members hail from diverse sectors like industry, finance, insurance and the climate resilience ecosystem across Europe and the United States. The platform brings together corporates, financial institutions, insurers, solution providers, tech and financial startups and experts to close the gap between climate risk awareness and real implementation.

Members work across three thematic working groups to develop shared standards, investment frameworks and case studies. Since the internal kick-off in March, working groups have been meeting regularly and first directional outputs are beginning to take shape.

"From the first sessions one thing became clear: the gap is no longer knowledge. It is execution and the willingness to invest sufficiently into adaptation technology addressing not only current but also future challenges. What organisations need are simple, comparable frameworks and concrete evidence that solutions work in combination and investing in them will secure long-term economic value. Building that together is exactly what we have set out to do."

CAURUS Technologies has joined the Adaptation Exchange to contribute to building awareness for future challenges resulting from growing wildfire risks coupled with increasing water scarcity to humans, nature and critical infrastructure.

“Wildfires are a growing global phenomenon. So is water scarcity. Both are increasingly occurring in previously unaffected regions and therefore deserve special attention with regards to early adaptation. Relevant adaptation technologies like our novel firefighting solution merit early engagement by public and private investors and corporates intent on safeguarding their assets.”

Philippe Telle, CEO CAURUS Technologies

The Adaptation Exchange will present its three working groups and their first findings during the public launch on 6 May. Interested party are welcome to attend any of the related launch events in Zurich

Further outputs from all three Working Groups will be presented at the Handelsblatt Corporate Climate Adaptation Conference  on 14 and 15 October 2026 in Düsseldorf.
